I seriously laugh out loud overtime I see this cat fabric. I laugh because I think it looks EXACTLY like my kitty, Ellie. Except, Ellie has brown and white on her because she's a calico, but the hair is spot on, and the look on the face is spot on, too!!!
Ellie came into our family unexpectedly a couple years ago. Tucker had just gotten out by accident (he was gone for 7 freaking days, I can't even tell you how difficult that was for me!) and Ellie shows up at my mom's house. She was only about 6-8 weeks old, and she was sneaking into my mom's yard for kitty food. She had obviously been separated from her mother. My mom spent a few days trying to catch her, and finally, after setting out a trap, she got Ellie! But like I said, Tucker had been missing during this time, and I was already a wreck. Then my mom asks me to take this kitten. I'm thinking to myself- how can you possibly be asking me to add a family member when I am missing one and freaking out???
I'm sure you can figure out what happened. I took Ellie in, and fell in love. Luckily, Tucker came back just a few short days later, and all was well in my heart again.
Ellie has always been reluctant to cuddle as a kitty, but as she has gotten older, she has grown to love on us more. Her favorite thing to do is sit right on top of you when you are sleeping! She is also a fiend for the sink, she runs towards it anytime she thinks I'll turn it on for her.
Today's block is all about you, Ellie! I just love you and your kitten breath so much.
